Erkkkk!

I’m so sorry I’ve barely posted! Here’s some updates!

I QUALIFIED FOR USPC CHAMPIONSHIPS FOR QUIZ! Yep, its true! My team got 3rd in our division, and I qualified!

Next, Razuli and I are doing great! we passed our D3 rating recently, and now we our training for the buckle series. We will be doing western and english. walk/trot eq, walk trot ple, walk/trot eq over poles, walk/trot argentine poles, argentine poles open, trail in hand, showmanship, horsemanship, and bareback.

I am now taking lessons with Jeanette and Janet. I am possibly looking for a more advanced dressage horse for showing. (Razz can not trailer 😦 ) Maybe even getting my own horse?

I plan to have fun with Razz this summer on trails, and in the arena.

That’s it for now! I’ll try to post more! :3

Sorry!

Im sorry I haven’t posted in a while, so here’s an update!

  1. I am leasing a new horse named Razuli. He is very sweet and kind. He is a 23 year old Arab, but he still has a lot of miles left on him. He can go up to about 1st level dressage, and he can do canter poles and a teeny tiny jump. I am leasing him currently 1 day a week, but we are trying to get more days with him. I will be using him for pony club.
  2. I am doing quiz this march. Last year we DOMINATED regional quiz placing 1st. The rest of my team (from saratoga pc) went to USPC championships and DOMINATED on the midcal team, and got 1st. I would have gone (I had a high enough score) but I wasn’t a high enough rating. Now I am, and hope to win again.
  3. That’s it for now except that I am planning to go to jr. Dressage Championships in august. Also, check out Dakino’s blog! The URL is ilovehorsies.wordpress.com 🙂

And PS Dakino, thank you for mentioning me in your post 🙂 !!

Winter Riding Wear!

Here’s what you need to know about what to wear at the stables in the winter! Thank you to Dakino who gave me this idea 🙂

Jackets: When I ride I usually wear a light sweater or my pony club jacket. My pony club jacket doesn’t have a hood, and it is water proof on the outside. Inside, there is a fuzzy material. I wear this jacket when it is very cold or rainy. I wear my pony club crew neck sweater when it is just chilly outside. I DO NOT recommend wearing a hooded jacket when riding. A girl I know was bucked of her horse when wearing a hoodie, and her horse dragged her by her hood, which was extremely dangerous. I recommend wearing a crew neck sweater, or any other type of jacket without a hood. Make sure the jacket you decide do wear isn’t very baggy, and fits you properly.

Breeches: In the winter, I recommend wearing a thicker pair of breeches to keep your legs warm. There are really no special type of breeches make for cold weather, I just wear thicker breeches.

Boots/Socks: For boots I just wear my normal paddock boots or tall boots year round, but I would recommend to wear tall, thick socks. I wouldn’t recommend zocks, because they are very thin, but I do recommend them for summer.

Shirts: I usually wear an old long sleeve shirt in the winter under my sweater or jacket, or I wear my pony club shirt, which is collared. I recommend collared shirts, because they look nice and clean. For more casual riding, I would recommend a long sleeve shirt.

Gloves: I just wear my riding gloves because they keep my hands warm.

I hope this post helped you!

QUICK UPDATE!!!!!

I AM LOOKING FOR A NEW LEASE BECAUSE BUSTER HAS SOME GROUND PROBLEMS. CHRISTINA FOUND A NEW HORSE FOR ME NAMED ABBY, AND SHE IS GOING TO SCHEDULE A DAY WHERE I CAN TRY HER OUT. RIGHT NOW, I AM JUST TAKING LESSONS ON BUSTER AND CHRISTINA IS GETTING HIM READY FOR ME.

Q&A

Hey everyone! Please comment your questions below, and I will answer them in a post. The last date you can comment your questions is friday, 11/9 at 8:00 am western time.

I’m Back!

I’m back everyone! sorry I have been MIA, I have finally found some time to post.   This post will be a huge update!

Buster: I have been leasing Buster! I have been doing lots of ground work with him, and practicing dressage. Some days (like today) when I need to go take care of him, but I don’t want to ride, I free jump him. How I free jump him is I pull him by his halter, and trot him over the jump. This is very fun, and better to do in the hot weather, than ride.  I also used Buster in the show. In equitation over poles we got 2nd place, out of 10 people! 🙂 I got Buster my own saddle, and it is a Courbette dressage saddle.

Pony Club: I am going to start to use Buster in Pony Club in the saturday lesson. I am going for my D-2 rating this November too.

Showing: In January, I hope to start going to dressage shows. My goal is to make it to junior championships next fall, with some of the girls in my Pony Club.

New Start, New Horse, Brace Yourself

I have a new lease horse! Here is a pony profile for him!

Barn Name: Buster                                                                                                                               Show Name: Brace Yourself                                                                                                             Breed: Paint                                                                                                                                             Sex: Male                                                                                                                                                                    Age: 18                                                                                                                                                                    Disciplines: English all around, and Western all around.                                                                 Color: Chestnut Overo                                                                                                                                                                                 Special Marking: One Blue Eye                                                                                                              Vices: Bitting and Cribbing                                                                                                                       More Info: Buster is a great all around horse. He is a great western pleasure horse, but he is also a great english horse. He is very grumpy, but he never does anything to bad. He hasn’t jumped in a while, so when ever he jumps, he stops and over jumps the jump by a foot. Overall, he is a great horse!

My 1st lease day with him is Sept. 1st, and I will be going to the barn from 11 am to 6 pm. If you lease a horse at the farm and know me, then maybe we can ride together.
