So this friday I was super excited because I would be using Aramyste in my Pony Club lesson. I was having a great time in the lesson until the spill. 
I arrived at the lesson, and all the girls with school horses were almost done tacking up. While they were tacking up, I took Aramyste to graze at the hill by the yard. When they were done, we all mounted up at the stump. As I entered the arena, Tamara started playing “walking music.” Aramyste didn’t spook at all. After we walked for a while, we trotted. Aramyste stayed at a medium trot, then moved by mistake, into a beautiful canter. We stayed in a trot until it happened.
Aramyste isn’t used to the slippery footing in the covered arena, so she slipped. She slipped off her back legs, then hopped up, and continued to trot. As she hopped up, I lost my stirrup and my balance. I eventually remember being thrown onto the ground. As I got up, I said “Let me go get my horse.” They wouldn’t let me get her and she was wandering around the arena for almost five minutes. After that, my trainer and mom asked me if I wanted to ride in the USPC lesson, or go ride in the round pen with my trainer. I chose to ride in the pen. We mostly just walked and trotted, and rode bareback.
I found out that I had bruised my ribs from the fall, and I got a lot of scratches. I hope I have a better USPC lesson next time.
